Heathrow & Gatwick Airport Meet & Greet
If you’re flying into Heathrow or Gatwick, we’ll make the start of your trip simple and stress-free.
Our Airport Meet & Greet service is available for rentals of 7 nights or more and includes both drop-off and collection, ensuring a smooth start and finish to your journey. After your flight, a Kamper Hire representative will personally welcome you in the arrivals hall and guide you to your fully prepared campervan nearby. We’ll take time to walk you through the vehicle, answer any questions, and make sure you feel completely comfortable before you set off — so you can begin your UK road trip relaxed, confident, and ready to explore.

FREE – rentals of 21+ nights

Meet & greet
Heathrow & Gatwick arrivals: A Kamperhire representative will deliver the vehicle directly to the Airport and meet you in the arrivals hall.
- Standard fee: £250 (available for 7+ nights)
- Complimentary when you hire for 21 nights or more
The £250 fee covers both delivery and collection.
Airport transfer
Alternatively, after a long flight you might prefer to be transferred back to our Winchester location (approx 1hr journey) for a leisurely handover – just let us know!
Going local
With Kamper, you won’t have to lift a finger. Let us book you into a local campsite so you can spend your first day relaxing and getting orientated. If there are extras you’d like to hire, such as bedding, or you have a list of food you’d like us to get ready for you, we can arrange that before you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble – we’re here to make your trip as smooth as possible.
What comes with your van?
Every Kamper Hire van comes loaded with useful kitchen equipment and additional items we think you’ll need for a comfortable trip (an inventory can be supplied on request). Our vans are cleverly designed with a range of driver-assistance features, onboard entertainment and super-efficient heating to make your trip safe, fun and as user-friendly as possible.
Is there somewhere to store some of our luggage during the rental?
To free up space in your camper, we’ll store your suitcases free of charge for the duration of your rental. Simply let us know if this is something you need when you book, and we’ll arrange it for you. This option is perfect if you’re planning to explore the UK or Europe after your camper van trip, but want to lighten the load while you hit the road.
Can I drive outside the UK?
Yes – add our Europe Travel Pack (£20/day, minimum charge applies) to cover you in 30+ countries with European insurance and roadside assistance included
Are there mileage limits?
No – the mileage on all UK hires is unlimited as standard
What documents do I need at pick-up?
Please bring:
- Passport
- Full valid driving licence
- 2 proofs of address
- Credit card in the main driver’s name
Is my driver’s license valid to drive a camper van in the UK?
You can drive our vans on a full driving licence from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or any EU/EEA country.
Please get in touch if you hold a licence from a country not listed & we will refer to our insurance company.
What insurance & breakdown cover is included?
All hires include fully comprehensive insurance for one named driver, unlimited UK mileage and 24-hour roadside assistance.
You can add up to three additional drivers @ £12.50 per day (each)
What happens if I break down?
Our fleet is covered by VW & Ford Assistance, providing 24-hour roadside support and, if necessary, a replacement vehicle within 24 hours
Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP)?
Not required by us to insure you. Your standard driving license is suffice.
