Gems of Britain Tour

Britain’s Hidden Gems route takes you from the roman city of Chichester to the rolling beaches of West Wittering. Stay at Stubcroft campsite, past Arundel and its stunning castle to Brighton. Pitch up a few miles away in pretty Ditchling and rest a while on Brighton’s pebbly beach, with a fish and chip supper in hand, or if the lure of the campfire doesn’t call you back there’s plenty to enjoy after dark. Pop by and say hello to Lewes before wending your way through the countryside to the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head for an unforgettable view.

We love a wander in pretty Rye, with Camber Sands beaches on the doorstep. From there head to the eerie beauty of Dungeness before taking in Margate and Whitstable for oysters and nosing at the pretty beach huts there. Canterbury’s cathedral is close by, then wend your way back through the original Pooh Bear country, and stay in the Ashdown Forest, before linking back up with the South Downs Way and a marvel at the lovely Petworth Park before dropping your van off.
