Delve deep into England’s rich history and live like a king in your luxury campervan hired from us here at KamperHire. Discover stunning castles, ruins and relics at our famous historic sites. With so many stately homes and country piles, it’s a tour where you’ll always be spoilt for choice. We think our itinerary should take about seven days but you can easily stop for longer – it’s your holiday, after all. There are many castles to visit in Britain but we have picked out our personal favourites.
Enjoy the ethereal beauty of Stonehenge (early risers will love it at dawn), just a short walk away from the super secluded Stonehenge Campsite.
From there head west to sigh romantically at the ruins of Tintagel in Cornwall before taking in Tintern Abbey on the Welsh border. Go north again for the grandiose old beauty of Castle Howard and set up the van at Lakeside Holiday Park for a bit of R&R.
Then it’s time to head south – via Lincoln Castle – some beautiful hidden gems. We love the moated medieval Bodiam in Kent as well as Hever Castle, just down the road. Set up the van at a former hop farm in Bedgebury, before heading back to our Hampshire HQ.
